La Graville
A classic among the beginner areas in the Drôme, La Graville offers routes ranging from about 20 meters in length up to 7b. The sandstone limestone is very grippy, resistant to weathering, and offers fairly varied climbing (slabs, cracks, overhangs). The crag is located 1 km east of the charming village of Saoû and at the foot of the campground of the same name. Relatively shaded and north-facing, it’s the ideal crag for climbing in the summer. This guide was produced in partnership with the CAF Saoû Synclinal, which equips and maintains the area. The printed guide “Escalade en Drôme: Vallée de la Drôme & Diois,” managed by the FFCAM 26 departmental committee, covers all the surrounding climbing areas.
